PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

NSF EPSCoR requires that ERI, RA and RIE proposals relate to a current program research theme:

  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial Partnerships
  • Robotics
  • Mechatronics
  • Control
  • Machine Learning
  • Sensors
  • Materials Science
  • 3D Printing
  • 3D Printed Resins
  • Power Generation
  • Power Storage
  • Printed Electronics
  • Plant Metabolic Pathways
  • Synthetic Biology

Inquiries about alternate topic relevance/approval are welcome. Please direct inquiries to: jeff.mossey@uky.edu

If an ERI, RA, or RIE proposal is funded, the awarded PI(s) must subsequently submit a follow-on research proposal directly to NSF before a future NSF EPSCoR proposal to one of these same programs (ERI, RA, RIE) will be accepted for consideration.

URE applications require that the participating student(s) be identified at the time the application is submitted.

Any Kentucky Science & Technology Company interested in hosting Kentucky student interns (the internships are paid for by KY NSF EPSCoR) is encouraged to inquire with jeff.mossey@uky.edu.
